Imagine how many different professional industries are out there. You may be able to count 10 off of the top of your mind, but I promise you, there are so many more.
More importantly, have you ever read an article and thought, “Wow, I never thought these two were connected like that?”
Well, it’s time to take a look at how AND why you should merge multiple spaces, niches, and industries in your public relations campaign!
They Complement Each Other
If there are two industries that complement each other, it would be to our disadvantage to not write about them. Industries that have things in common or could help benefit each other in some way should be highlighted.
For instance, Victoria Kennedy, our CEO, and Founder blends her musical career and crypto expertise in her public relations. Many people would probably never think to pair these two, but they are actually the perfect fit! There are many advantages to using music within the metaverse and they are complementing each other beautifully in our articles about Victoria.
In fact, realizing that you are at the forefront of a never-before-seen blend of industries (such as opera and crypto, in the case of Victoria), is the very reason you should pay attention to how your hobbies and interests can be combined!
Give Credibility to Not One, But Two, Spaces
Why write about one when you can write about two?! Public relations enhances one’s credibility and authority within that industry. So, by mentioning multiple sectors, you are actually bringing eyes to multiple industries! This is called cross-awareness.
In today’s world, it is important to be educated in more than just your own industry. Not just for your own personal knowledge, but for business engagements as well. Combining them in PR is a wonderful way to do that.
Next Steps: Relevancy
Now, the big question is, how do you do this? The most important aspect to remember is that the topics must be relevant. Earlier, we talked about how diverse spaces can complement each other. When they complement each other, it just works.
A good question to ask yourself is, “Is there anything to backup my meaning behind merging these two spaces together?” If you write an article about two different industries but they have no correlation to each other, then what is the point of the article? There must be some sort of facts, story, or statistics to back up your reasoning as to why these two are intertwined.
When you do have concrete evidence, this makes for a masterpiece: Merging sectors within PR shows the inclusivity of our world and opens the eyes of our society to the truth that things do not have to be so black and white.
Don’t be afraid to get creative when it comes to finding this relevancy either! Maybe you paint and are a lawyer, or you train dogs as a side hustle while you found a new crypto project. Whatever your talents, there is more-often-than-not a way to link them together to make you stand out from the other lawyers and crypto experts.
